My interest in trees goes back to my childhood when they were a source of entertainment, where as children we explored the woods, climbed trees, and built tree forts. In the long summer days trees provided a cooler shady place to hang out and do the things a child does when left alone to play in the woods. As an adult I still love the shade of an old oak like the ones that create a full canopy over my yard where my studio is located.
